Sagemodern

Sagemodern is a San Francisco-based designer and architect of high-end, custom prefab and modular homes, founded through the partnership of architect Paul Warner and designer Blair Porteous. The firm specializes in green, sustainable, and energy-efficient modern architecture and draws on a curated network of quality prefab manufacturers — including Method Homes and Plant Prefab — to factory-construct near-complete modules that are then site-assembled. Sagemodern does not manufacture homes in-house, instead focusing on bespoke design and project management to deliver luxury modern residences with a typical hard construction cost of $500 to $900 per square foot in California. With a project timeline of six to eight months and a portfolio of more than 20 completed homes, Sagemodern serves clients across California and nationwide, with a strong concentration in Bay Area mountain communities and coastal regions.
