FabCab

FabCab is a Seattle, Washington-based prefab home designer offering architect-designed, sustainable residences that have earned AIA recognition since their debut at the 2010 Seattle Home Show. The company produces two primary product lines: TimberCab homes, which feature Douglas fir timber frames covered with structural insulated panels (SIPs), and ModCab homes constructed with SIPs alone. Homes range from under 600 square feet to over 1,000 square feet and incorporate Universal Design principles throughout, making spaces accessible for residents at all life stages. FabCab delivers homes as kits of parts—including the frame, wall panels, doors, windows, siding, and finishes—to be assembled by a licensed local contractor. Sustainably harvested materials, low-VOC paints, and water-efficient appliances reflect the company's strong environmental ethos.
