EcoCabins

EcoCabins is a Dutch prefabricated home manufacturer founded in 2018 and based in IJmuiden, Netherlands, specializing in sustainable compact homes and tiny houses designed for permanent habitation. Their fully prefabricated wooden homes, ranging from 25 to 50 square metres, comply with the Dutch Building Decree and are built using FSC-certified wood, mineral wool insulation, and triple glazing for exceptional energy efficiency. All models are delivered turnkey, requiring no on-site assembly, and can be equipped with 14 to 28 solar panels to achieve near zero-energy performance. EcoCabins applies circular design principles and targets a 70-plus-year lifespan with minimal ecological footprint. Through their Basecamp IJmuiden initiative, the company actively experiments with off-grid energy generation and storage, exploring new sustainable living concepts for both residential and recreational markets.
