Brette Haus is a Latvian startup based in Riga that manufactures innovative foldable prefabricated homes using a patented hinge mechanism that enables structures to be fully unfolded and ready for habitation in as little as three hours. The company offers three primary models — the Rustic, designed for residential use; the Tiny D, suited for hospitality and garden settings; and the Æqua, intended for wellness and recreational purposes. All structures are built from cross-laminated timber combined with eco-friendly wood fiber insulation boards made from sawmill residues, ensuring both environmental responsibility and structural performance. Brette Haus homes achieve fire resistance ratings of REI 60 and are engineered to be earthquake-resilient with a designed lifespan of over 50 years. Manufacturing takes 8 to 12 weeks, and the folding mechanism supports over 100 deployment cycles, offering flexibility and mobility across Europe.
