Founded by Dick Shone, the company builds homes from timber-and-steel modules that are fully fitted out on the production line — including kitchens, bathrooms, and electrical fittings — before being delivered by lorry and craned into place on site. With more than 12 years in operation and over 170 completed projects across the UK, Boutique Modern specializes in affordable and social housing schemes, working with local authorities, housing associations, and private clients. Their ModernHome product was specifically developed to address the UK housing shortage by delivering high-quality homes rapidly and cost-effectively for those on social housing waiting lists. The company's factory-first approach ensures consistent quality, reduced construction waste, and significantly shorter delivery timelines compared to traditional building methods.
